Rood Screen in the Frari Church in Venice

Visit the Gothic Frari Church to see some of the best art in Venice, including Titian's Assumption of teht Virgin and a rood screen still in place.

The first thing most visitors notice is the massive altarpiece behind the high altar: the Assumption of the Virgin, painted between 1516 and 1518 by Tiziano Vecellio, or Titian.

The rood screen and wooden choir stalls are the only examples still in position in any major church in Italy.
